$80 gift cards for produce available to low-income older adults

We all need access to fresh, nutritious food to thrive.

That is particularly important for older adults. A new study finds that whole plant foods like vegetables, fruit and whole grains are linked to lower dementia risk.

That’s why the Seattle Human Services’ Aging and Disability Services Division is proud to support the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. It helps low-income older adults in King County purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets. Participants receive an e-Benefit card valued at $80 (one-time distribution) to buy fresh produce.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Age 60+ (age 55+ if you are American Indian or Alaska Native) by June 15, 2026
  • Low income (no more than $2,461 monthly income for one person or $3,337 for two people—for each additional person, add $876)
  • Resident of King County

Apply online at sfmnp-seattleking.org to participate! Applications must be completed by May 8, 2026. Printable applications are also available in 15 languages.
