HSD’s Victim Support Team (VST) delivers services through two dynamic programs, providing short-term advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. VST advocates and volunteers address immediate safety concerns and offer connections to resources, working in close partnership with the Seattle Police Department and City of Seattle co-responders.
We shared a little in April about a job opportunity to make a difference as a Victim Advocate and an Employee Spotlight on Meredith Clark, a current member of the team.
This month, we’re talking about the community volunteers who work with the VST to support survivors in a unique time of need. Their commitment and impact make this program vital to the City’s response to violence.
