Host Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Summer Interns!

Are you an organization or business wanting to give back to the local community by supporting the careers of local future leaders?

Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP) with the Seattle Human Services Department is searching for businesses to host interns during the summer season to support their career development and professional growth. SYEP supports youth and young adults early in their professional careers who live in and around the Seattle area by pairing them with businesses in industries they are interested in. The goal is to provide experiences to help our youth get a head start as they begin their career journey.

Businesses benefit from hosting interns in several different ways including but not limited to the following:

  • Interns provide great additions to your team to support projects, tasks, etc.
  • It offers employers a new perspective on their business and procedures that can help refine and innovate their strategies!
  • Hosting interns shows that your place of work invests in the local community.
  • We offer both subsidized and unsubsidized options to pay intern wages!

Here are some quick facts about our internship program:

  • Interns are provided 150 hours of paid employment and training.
  • Internships will run from July 8 – August 15, 2024.
  • The supervisor and intern can create a schedule that works for both.
