October 24th is Food Day, a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. Last year the City of Seattle celebrated Food Day by releasing Seattle’s Food Action Plan, a roadmap that lays out steps for our city to get more healthy food to more Seattle residents, expand opportunities to grow food in the City, and strengthen our local food economy. A year later we’re sharing some of the progress we’ve made in implementing the Food Action Plan, including the expansion of the Farm to Table program (based in HSD).
