Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 7, 2012 to celebrate a National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day event. Free dinner, live performances by local choirs, art raffles, and more. Everyone is welcome. The theme of this free event is “HIV Awareness and Prevention.” It will feature prominent leaders from Black communities (U.S. and African born) who will speak about the local HIV epidemic, testing, treatment, the importance of community leadership, and the need for more Black people to get involved in the fight against AIDS.
